Barsham and Shipmeadow are two rural parishes on the southern side of the Waveney Valley a few miles to the west of Beccles.

The two parishes share a joint Parish Council and this web site is run by the parish Council to meet Government requirements.

The two parishes have a total population of around 355 in quiet and peaceful countryside some of which is in the Broads Authority's area.
